Honor Contractor

Honor is a small inland village on the Platte River, sitting at the edge of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore territory. It's a working community — not a resort town — and the housing stock reflects that: modest single-story and two-story homes, a mix of older construction and mid-century builds, many of them owner-occupied year-round. The properties here need practical, reliable work: roofs that last through hard winters, solid siding, and foundations that handle the frost line without issue.

Gerhard & Sons works with Honor homeowners on the full range of residential construction and repair. We handle roofing, siding, windows and doors, concrete foundations and footings, framing, decks, and interior remodeling — and we work directly with the homeowner from estimate through completion. Honor's proximity to the national lakeshore draws some seasonal traffic, but the residents here are mostly full-time, and we approach every job with that in mind.
